Trepidation Beta Build

The Beta build for Trepidation is finally here! I have made great strides in terms of progress and bug fixing which has been really great. For major changes since the last build, I have the lighting working, so it no longer cycles, I have the audio effects / ambience in game, and I also have a working menu to start and exit out of the game. For minor changes I have added more "land" to the level on the outside so the player can't see the endless void as well as more trees on the outside to help better the illusion of being in the forest. Overall, the game is in its final stages as I just have some polish and last-minute decisions to make in terms of its final build. Ultimately, I have decided that the level is pitch black other than what the flashlight is shining on, so I am still tweaking its brightness and overall size, so it reveals just enough to the player without it being extremely hard to see. I am also still working out the sound collision placements as I want there to be enough sounds to scare the player but without them becoming repetitive or overlapping being played if the player goes through the level too quickly. I've quickly come to find out it's harder than I thought to have all these sounds in only because I don't want so many to be playing at once as then it sounds sloppy and doesn't have the fear factor. The only other big change I have for the final build is making it so when the player reaches the car, they go back to the menu instead of quitting the game, but I have not figured that out yet. Other than that, I am pretty happy with my game so far and will continue polishing until the final build.
